1.6: The Secret of Point Mystic Pt. 1 “Ghostlilly”

EPISODE #261
Normally I would have Lilly Forster tell you her story, but she can’t.  She’s taken a vow of silence, and the story I’m about to share with you had been relayed by writing on a notepad at a picnic table outside of our town’s lighthouse, in one of the strangest interviews I’ve gotten in this show’s history.

The story she has to tell is a hard one to take in. It involves a traveler from what may be another world, an eye transplant from what may be one of television’s most famous detectives, and the talent to see death.

On our season finale, not all who are lost… wander.  It’s time to reveal the secret of Point Mystic.

1.5: The Skill of our Hands (feat. Steven Brust & Skyler White)

EPISODE #260

It’s time to look into the oldest, the most arcane and perhaps most persuasive of the secret societies — The Incrementalists.

It is said they control all other secret societies. That they have had a hand in history’s most momentous events. That they are in touch with aliens or are themselves secret alien overlords with the power of Immortality, mind reading,  telepathy, and  E.S.P. — able to keep everyone in the world under constant surveillance. That they are everywhere. Perfectly organized toward one mysterious goal.

What is their secret agenda? And why have they waited through all of human history to reveal themselves now?

Point Mystic, Season 1, Episode 5: The Skill of our Hands (Featuring Steven Brust & Skyler White).

Listener Questions #1

themenasaur  asked:

“I’m loving Point Mystic so far! It’s hitting that same chord that the PNWS podcasts and Lore hit with me, where it’s creepy, but not scary enough to make me want to stop listening, which I appreciate from the media I consume. I’m sort of confused about the dragon scale episode, though? Where does that fit in? You guys are doing great work!”

#TryPod Bonus: Point Mystic Presents: The Dark Tome

We’re hard at work on our next chapter of Point Mystic, but I want to share something special with you.  During the month of March, Point Mystic and hundreds of our fellow podcasts such as Welcome to Night Vale, Criminal, and Fresh Air would like to ask you to share the gift of your favorite podcasts with friends and family.

Believe it or not, a lot of people have never heard of podcasts or don’t know how to subscribe and listen to them. We’d like you to show them. Show them what you love. Think about, what is the perfect show for them — It doesn’t have to be this podcast to be the right podcast.

We are all supporting this together, and as our contribution to #TryPod, I’d like to recommend to you and your friends one of my favorite podcasts The Dark Tome, produced by Fred Greenhalgh and Bill Dufris. It’s part of the Wondery network of podcasts.

It’s the story of a magical book that transports you into the infinite stories it holds, and those stories can be rather dangerous. If you loved our pilot episode featuring Joe Hill and the world of his novel The Fireman, you are are going to love their pilot episode exploring Joe Hill’s horror story “The Devil on the Staircase.”

Show your friends the world of podcasts, and tweet at us at @PointMystic with the hashtag #TryPod and let us know what you recommended to your friends. Our Point Mystic community would love to hear it too. Thanks for listening!

EPISODE #259

The legendary creature known as the White Rabbit has come. And the people of this community will either stand together or we will fall together.

Little Bunny ‘Thulu

(Point Mystic children’s traditional)

Little Bunny ‘Thulu

hopping through the forest

Scooping up the field mice

And bashing them on the head!

Down came the Good Fairy, and she said:

“Little Bunny ‘Thulu

I don’t wanna see you

Scooping up the field mice

And bashing them on the head!

If you don’t stop gathering up the field mice

I’ll turn you into a goon.

I’ll give you to Mordriesis

When he’s found, he’s created something in the woods that he can’t remember building. Something huge.

1.0: The Fireman (feat. Joe Hill and Martha Quinn)

EPISODE #(UNKNOWN)

If you have been listening to the news since the highly contagious, Draco Incendia Trychophyton or “Dragonscale” began to spread, you know what kind of panic the world is in.

Today I speak with former MTV VJ, Martha Quinn, now spokesperson for the Free Wolf Island Quarantine and Research Zone, about their search for a cure. And I stumble across the remarkable story of a man named Joe Hill, and a strange haven that may have found a way to control this deadly catastrophe of spontaneous combustion.

Point Mystic, Season 1, Episode 0: The Fireman (Featuring Joe Hill & Martha Quinn).

As we celebrate the launch the podcast version of our radio show, we wanted to share with you one of the most popular broadcast episodes from our archives.

This is not it.

We’re not sure where this episode, dated sometime in the near future, came from. It was discovered in the Point Mystic show archives after our recent move. In the mystery of this episode’s existence, we are certain of only one thing — the events depicted here never happened.

The radio version of this story bleeped out names and landmarks in order to protect the location of Camp Windham. It is broadcast for you here, uncensored, in its entirety.

*Our special pilot episode is a fan work that celebrates Joe Hill’s new bestselling novel The Fireman. Order yourself a copy from Copperfeild’s Books or your favorite bookstore.
